How to measure: shoulder from one shoulder point to the other along the natural curve; bust over the fullest part of your chest; waist at the narrowest point; hip at the fullest part; length from the top of the shoulder down; inseam from the crotch joint to the hem.

Semi Stitched

This piece is not ready to wear and cannot be tried on as it arrives. A tailor has to take your measurements and make it to them — on a semi-stitched lehenga that means the choli and the lehenga both. Finding a tailor and booking the work is yours to arrange, and the wait can be considerable in wedding season.

Take the measurements above to your tailor. Because the pieces are made to you rather than taken in, there is no size on this one to compare against the chart — the chart is what your tailor works from.

Stitched Blouse and Un Stitched Blouse

All sarees come with an un-stitched blouse piece unless otherwise specified.

The blouse piece comes as part of the saree and is not cut out, so the saree can be draped and worn as it arrives with a blouse you already have. If you would rather have a matching blouse, a tailor cuts the piece out and stitches it to your measurements.

A saree marked Stitched Blouse arrives with its blouse already made up. Saree sizing itself is not a question: one drape fits all, which is why a saree has no body size to pick.

Before you have anything altered

Any alteration is allowed only after purchase, and any alteration ends the return. An altered or stitched piece cannot be returned, cannot be exchanged, and earns no store credit — wherever the work was done, including by us. A piece that has been worn is not taken back either. This is about changing your mind: anything that arrives damaged, wrong, or does not arrive is still put right in full.
